a 5K for hunger and health RAVENSWOOD RUN

In the last seven years, the Ravenswood Run has raised more than $235,000 to provide groceries and hot meals to low-income residents and to help fund healthcare for low-income teens. Proceeds from the run benefit local hunger relief programs at Ravenswood Community Services and the student health centers at Lake View and Amundsen High Schools. All Saints’ Episcopal Church launched the race in 1996 as a way to help support its outreach efforts, and the race grew quickly. Since 2001, the Ravenswood Run has partnered with Fleet Feet Sports to manage race logistics. Fleet Feet’s extensive race expertise and strong neighborhood presence add tremendous value to the church’s original vision and continuing commitment to this community and its most at-risk residents.
