Ravenswood Community Services provides hunger and poverty relief, health services, and life skills education in the Ravenswood and Uptown neighborhoods. In 1993, we began handing out bags of groceries to about 20 neighbors through the front doors of All Saints' Chicago. Today, this vibrant non-profit serves hundreds of hungry neighbors each week and implements strategic neighborhood change through our feeding programs and through our partnership with Ravenswood School.
In 2007, 16,255 bags of groceries were distributed, 6,507 hungry neighbors shared a meal, 61 young people were mentored at Ravenswood School, and 93 core volunteers committed their time, energy and passion to welcoming our neighbors.
We serve our neighbors through four incredible programs: Food Pantry, Community Kitchen, All Saints' Cafe, and mentoring at Ravenswood School.
We are an agency of Episcopal Charities and Community Services.
